The Cave Formation Repair Project was founded in 2018 by Mike Mansur in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since then, the project has rapidly expanded to include CFRP teams internationally and throughout various states, over 1,500 formation repairs, and annual workshops held at the National Speleological Society’s Convention.

The Cave Formation Repair Projecthas repaired formations in show and wild caves on public and private lands. Most notably, the project has operated in Carlsbad Caverns National Park since its inception. As we continue to grow and have more cavers join the project, the list of caves, matches, and repairs continues to grow.
